Neevana Hotel Hikkaduwa

We booked another hotel which was closed. So we came here and booked this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and welcomed us. We were able to check in early. The hotel had a nice pool with the ocean view.

Neevana Hikkaduwa is a gem! I had a fantastic three-day stay. The location is perfect, right on a beautiful beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially at the bar and reception. The food was delicious, and the rooms, though cozy, were spotless and well-maintained. I loved everything about my stay and can't wait to return with my family next year!

The staff at the hotel were amazing. Room was bigger than expected and the balcony was a good size. Only ate at the restaurant a couple of times but food was good. Drinks were cold from the bar and always had staff available for service. Pool was always clean and didn't have a problem with finding a pool lounge if needed. Perfect spot for relaxing and looking over the ocean and beach. Nice walk along the beach to see the turtles and watch some good surf. Cleaning staff even had a bit of fun with the towels on our bed, photo attached, It made me laugh for quite a long time.

We stayed here on 11th July for one night. We are here as part of a volunteering scheme as student midwives and thought we’d make the most of our weekend off by booking a night at Neevana. We definitely made the right choice. Upon arrival we were greeted with lovely staff dressed in traditional stunning Sri Lankan clothing and were offered a fresh juice whilst waiting for our room to be ready. We did turn up early but spent some time in the bar with magnificent pool and sea views. When our room was ready we were escorted upstairs and we were taken aback by the absolute gorgeous room and view. The beds were very comfortable and we had a lovely little private balcony with seating so we could enjoy the sunset. We ate out elsewhere but the morning after we had breakfast as part of our stay and it was magnificent. There were lots of traditional Sri Lankan dishes available but also the rest such as bacon, sauces, gorgeous brioche buns and cheese with lots of fruit. We were then offered freshly cooked omelettes to our liking and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Check out was 11.30am but we had some exploring to do, so they kindly said we could leave our bags behind reception until we were ready to leave the area. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and would 100% recommend. Gorgeous staff and gorgeous hotel made for a gorgeous stay thank you xx

We had the most amazing stay at Hotel Neevana in Hikkaduwa with our family, including our two kids. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and flexible—always willing to help with anything we needed, especially when it came to making things easier for the kids. It really made a big difference and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care.it was great that the kids had choices they enjoyed too. Our room was stunning—very spacious, clean, and comfortable with a beautiful sea view that we could never get tired of. Waking up to the sound of the waves and stepping out to that view each morning was just perfect. There was plenty of space for all of us, and we never felt cramped even with two young kids running around. The beach was just a few steps away and felt like our own private paradise. Clean, peaceful, and not crowded at all. The kids had a blast playing in the sand and splashing in the water, while we got to relax and enjoy the scenery. Overall, our stay at Hotel Neevana was everything we hoped for and more. It’s a beautiful place with amazing people, and we left with wonderful memories as a family. We would definitely love to come back again!
